The Current is a community-based, nonprofit news organization serving Lafayette and South Louisiana. Founded as a digital publication in 2018, it has since become a leader in local news, progressive politics, and citizen journalism.
This edition highlights the 'Wavemakers'—local citizens who are making a difference in the community.
Role
As the sole designer on this project I was responsible for creation of the style guide, design system, material choices, layout and editorial illustrations.
