Making it easier for Nike Athletes to connect with customers

Brief

Nike aimed to design an iOS tablet app that would allow Nike Store Athletes (employees) to facilitate in-store meetings with Nike+ members. The app needed to provide real-time data to the Nike Athletes about each member, offering them the opportunity to sign up for events, classes, Nike apps and in-store services.

Role

As the UX and Design Lead, I was responsible for overseeing product ideation, UX/UI design and testing across all aspects of the user experience. This included creating sitemaps, wireframes, UI components and prototypes. I also conducted comprehensive testing sessions with Nike Athletes in-store and facilitated focus groups with Nike+ members.

Outcomes

The app debuted in Nike stores in NYC and Miami, successfully streamlining the in-store interaction between Nike Store Athletes and Nike+ members. It empowered Nike Athletes to easily guide members through event sign-ups, class bookings and access to exclusive Nike services.

Post-launch feedback from both Nike Athletes and members showed improved satisfaction with in-store services and a more personalized customer experience.
