Porchlight Responsive Website
PorchLight Group is a specialized real estate firm headquartered in Denver, CO. I was part of a team responsible for envisioning, developing and deploying an entirely redesigned version of their public website, Porchlightgroup.com.
The primary objectives of this initiative were to highlight Porchlight’s neighborhood expertise throughout the site, and to dramatically improve overall usability, user experience, and to create a cohesive vision and story that permeated the new site.
My team and I performed a series of interviews and workshops to determine business goals, issues, challenges, assumptions, and a clear definition of success. These sessions produced user personas, potential design solutions, prioritization maps, best-in-class examples, and key concepts used to pave the way, and set standards for the next round of deliverables.
Our team created a flow architecture that enabled a high-level view of how a user would traverse the website, illuminating the depth of the application, and an initial understanding of the technical complexity.
High Fidelity Wireframes
From the flow architecture we developed high fidelity wireframes used to map out the experience and demonstrate the breakpoints of the responsive design.
After establishing a sitemap and high-fidelity wireframes, our team pursued visual designs that solved Porchlight’s business and UX goals.
As well as confronting experience challenges around search, navigation, curation, and focus, the new design sought to position Porchlight as the lifestyle brand of choice for sellers and buyers in Denver’s high-end real estate market.
